Mindful Senior Care is the direct result of one person’s devotion and determination to enrich the quality of people's lives. Valerie Cohen-Weidlich began her journey in the home care space 10 years ago as a companion and caregiver. She realized her gift was connecting with people and
building meaningful relationships. Over the last decade, Valerie has been able to make a
positive impact on many seniors' lives as well as their families. When family members lived far away from their loved ones, they had peace of mind knowing she was there. She has often been described as “the daughter that lives in Florida.” People reached out to her to help them find wonderful caregivers. These requests coupled with her passion for improving the quality of people’s lives naturally blossomed into this boutique quality service.

​Missy's passion for senior care began with one of the most personal journeys of her life—caring for her own parents as they aged, while living thousands of miles away. Navigating the complex and often overwhelming world of senior services, especially from a distance, opened her eyes to how difficult it is for families. She found Valerie at a time of great need, and she was her eyes, ears and heart when she could not be there.
Missy holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and has spent her career advocating for vulnerable populations, helping them tackle challenges with dignity and respect. Based outside of Philadelphia, she's proud to combine her professional expertise with an innate skill for developing deep personal connections. She will empower your parents to have autonomy in their daily lives, while providing compassionate support for their changing needs. Together you will navigate this journey with trust and transparency. For Missy's family, Valerie is “the daughter that lives in Florida” and she will be the one who lives in Pennsylvania.
